Horizontal profiling moulder DFPA-40

Horizontal profiling moulder DFPA 40 is a universal edger, widely used in sawmill and carpentry industry, in large industrial and small crafting workshops. It is especially useful in production of dovetail joints and moulding of curved/straight – line shaping profiles in wood, wood – like, and some plastic materials.

It is ideal for mass production of wooden accessories, and garden construction elements, including boards, fences, decorating poles, banisters, drawer elements, bee hive and bee frame elements, etc. It is used for moulding of block elements, as well as micro dovetail joints for wood construction.

Essential components of the moulder include: body, table, spindle, base support, pneumatic system, electric circuit

The table is mounted on two round rails, and is equipped with a reinforcing beam set on two arms.

On the reinforcing beam, two movable pressure cylinders are set, which help hold timber in place, as well as a base positioning plate (ensuring perpendicular positioning of timber).

The spindle is driven by a flat belt of the electric motor, located inside of the body. Moulding blade set of specified size is mounted on the spindle.

Slide mounted on the spindle body enables precise setting of moulding depth and parallel material positioning.

Table feed is driven by a pneumatic cylinder with oil dampening.

Activation of the device is done by pressing a foot – operated switch.

Main apparatus is located in a separate box, found on the edger’s body.
